Centre for Social Work Practice – Legacy Fund

Important News of a New Beginning

The Centre for Social Work Practice, like GAPS, has pursued a mission of promoting relationship-based practice within social work for many years.  You may know that the Centre’s board of trustees and members agreed that the charity should be dissolved during 2020.  GAPS has always enjoyed a collaborative relationship with the Centre, and we share a sense of sadness as the organisation closes.  However, from this sadness comes a new beginning…

GAPS is really pleased to be able to support the continuation of the Centre’s work by managing its remaining resources and future donations through the Centre for Social Work Practice Legacy Fund.  The fund’s purpose will be to support innovative work in the area of relationship-based practice, including therapeutic provision, education, practice development and research.  GAPS will be collaborating with an advisory panel which will include a number of former CfSWP trustees and members.

The fund is due to launch early in 2021 and we are planning an event to mark this in the Spring.  Covid-19 restrictions permitting, this may well be the first in-person event for our joint community to enjoy following lockdown.

Keeping in touch with CfSWP and GAPS

The Centre mailing list will no longer be in operation so please make sure you are signed up to receive news from GAPS in order to hear about this event and the launch of the fund.
