Brigid Featherston is Professor of Social Work, Huddersfield University. She has an international reputation in the areas of gender, fathers and child protection. She co-authored ‘Re-imagining Child Protection: towards humane social work with families’ (2014) with Sue White and Kate Morris

Dr Ruth Allen

Ruth Allen is the Chief Executive of BASW (the British Association of Social Workers). Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Social Work at South West London and St Georges’ Mental Health NHS Trust and has co-chaired the Practice Advisory Group to the Chief Social Worker for Adults and chaired the Social Care Strategic Network for Mental Health.
